Coronavirus (COVID-19) Information

The world health community continues to monitor closely the emergence of the SARS-COV-2 virus and the disease it causes, named "coronavirus disease 2019" (COVID-19). At this time, no one knows the extent of this outbreak, how long it may reside or what areas may be affected. Given this uncertainty, and the fact that the seasonal influenza (flu) virus is also widespread, we are taking proactive steps to address a number of City concerns. We encourage practices protecting the health of the public and for everyone to cooperate in taking steps to reduce the transmission of communicable diseases:

  • Wash your hands frequently with warm, soapy water for at least 20 seconds (The time it takes to sing the Birthday Song twice.)
  • If soap and water are not readily available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol. Always wash hands with soap and water if hands are visibly dirty
  • Cover your mouth with tissues whenever you sneeze, and discard used tissues in the trash
  • Cough into your elbow
  • Avoid close contact with people who are sick with respiratory symptoms
  • Clean frequently touched surfaces
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth if at all possible
  • Do not shake hands
