Notice is hereby given that the City of Sebastian is offering citizens the opportunity to comment on the proposed grant application for the Rebuild Florida Infrastructure Repair Program.
Notice is hereby given that the City of Sebastian is offering citizens the opportunity to comment on the proposed grant application for the Rebuild Florida Infrastructure Repair Program competitive solicitation issued by the Florida Department of Commerce. The funding is provided by the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Community Development Block Grant - Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) Program to address unmet disaster recovery needs related to damage from the 2023 and 2024 Storms. The project will consist of design and construction for road paving and swale work that will increase the resiliency of the critical infrastructure. These activities include reconstruction of the roadways to provide improved access during an emergency and enhancement to the stormwater facilities to increase flood protection. The City is requesting $1,780,136.78. The program does not require matching funds from the City.
The comment period begins on 09/03/2025 and ends on 09/18/2025. All comments must be submitted to KMiller@cityofsebastian.org and received no later than close of business 09/18/2025 to be included with the application package that will be submitted to the State of Florida.
