NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING FOR
COMPREHENSIVE PLAN 
 LAND USE MAP AND TEXT AMENDMENT 
CITY OF SEBASTIAN, FLORIDA

 

The City Council of the City of Sebastian, Indian River County, Florida, proposes to review the following ordinance: 

 

ORDINANCE NO. O-22-13

 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SEBASTIAN, FLORIDA,  RELATING TO THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN; AMENDING THE FUTURE LAND USE MAP BY ESTABLISHING A LAND USE CLASSIFICATION OF MU (MIXED USE) FOR ANNEXED LAND WITH A PRIOR COUNTY LAND USE DESIGNATION OF AG-1 (AGRICULTURAL) ON PROPERTY CONSISTING OF 1913.593 ACRES, MORE OR LESS, LOCATED SOUTH OF COUNTY ROAD 510, WEST OF LANDS ADJACENT TO 74TH AVENUE, NORTH OF 69TH STREET, AND EAST OF 90TH  AVENUE; AMENDING THE LAND USE ELEMENT WITH SITE SPECIFIC POLICIES; AUTHORIZING FINDINGS AND ADMINISTRATIVE ACTIONS; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; PROVIDING FOR SCRIVENER’S ERRORS; PROVIDING AN  EFFECTIVE DATE AND PROVIDING AN ADOPTION SCHEDULE.

 

A second reading and public hearing on the ordinance will be held on Wednesday, January 8, 2023, at 6:00 p.m. in the City Council Chambers, City Hall, 1225 Main Street, Sebastian, Florida.

 

Following the public hearing, the City Council may adopt the ordinance regarding the property as shown in the map in the above PDF file.

 Interested parties may inspect the proposed ordinance and the complete legal description of the property by metes and bounds in the Community Development Department at City Hall, Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and may appear at the hearing and be heard with respect to the proposed ordinance.

Any person who may wish to appeal any decision which may be made by the City Council at this hearing will need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made which record includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal will be based. (286.0105 F.S.)
