NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
FOR VOLUNTARY ANNEXATION
CITY OF SEBASTIAN, FLORIDA

The City Council of the City of Sebastian, Indian River County, Florida, has received a petition for voluntary annexation, and therefore proposes to consider the following ordinance:

 

ORDINANCE NO. O-22-07

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SEBASTIAN, FLORIDA, PROVIDING FOR THE VOLUNTARY ANNEXATION FOR LAND CONSISTING OF 2044.3 ACRES, MORE OR LESS, LOCATED SOUTH OF COUNTY ROAD 510 ROW, WEST OF LANDS ADJACENT TO THE 74TH AVE ROW, NORTH OF 69TH STREET ROW, AND EAST OF 90th AVE ROW; PROVIDING FOR THE EXTENSION OF THE CORPORATE LIMITS AND BOUNDARIES THEREOF; PROVIDING FOR INTERIM LAND USE AND ZONING CLASSIFICATION; PROVIDING FOR SCRIVENER’S ERRORS; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICT AND SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.  

A public hearing on the ordinance will be held on Wednesday, February 8th, 2023, at 6:00 p.m. in the City Council Chambers, City Hall, 1225 Main Street, Sebastian.  

Following the public hearing, the City Council may adopt this ordinance to annex the property as shown in the map in the above PDF and generally described in the ordinance title above

Interested parties may inspect the proposed ordinance and the complete legal description of the property by metes and bounds in the Community Development Department at City Hall, Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and may appear at the hearing and be heard with respect to the proposed ordinance.

 

Any person who may wish to appeal any decision which may be made by the City Council at this hearing will need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made which record includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal will be based.  (F.S.286.0105)
