AIRPORT SECURITY

Management and staff of the Airport met with tenants and the FBO during June 2015 to address tightened airport security. ID badges are now required for all personnel entering the Airport property. Any vehicle on the active airfield must have the proper safety equipment and Airport/City logo. Magnetic logos will be provided for tenant vehicles to further identify authorized vehicles.

The Sebastian Municipal now has installed security cameras on all sections of the airport. These cameras record 24/7 in a central computer location. Please be aware if you enter the Airport property, your activities will be recorded.

Please note that no one may bring firearms of any type onto the Airport property without specific approval and appropriate licenses.

AIRPORT CONFERENCE ROOM AVAILABLE

The Sebastian Municipal Airport has a medium-sized conference room available at no charge in the Administration Building. This room can seat at least twenty-five people. It is equipped with a 60" flat-screen TV with a DVD player and access to local television channels including the Weather Channel.

PILOT BRIEFING FACILITY

The Sebastian Airport has a complete pilot briefing facility available in the Airport Administration Building on the southeast side of the airport. The Briefing Room is on your left just as you enter the building from the ramp. The briefing computer system normally displays the Sebastian Airport website. If you go to the "Pilot Briefing" section, you will find all the necessary websites for a complete pilot briefing including the local; weather conditions at X26. This facility is also available for those pilots with "wifi" capability on a laptop computer. Wifi coverage presently is just available in the lobby of the Administration Building.

AIRPORT COURTESY CAR AND GOLF CART AVAILABLE

A courtesy car is available for transient pilots at the Sebastian Airport. The car is available for use in the local Sebastian area. The car is offered at no charge on the “honor system”. There is no use overnight.

 There is also available a golf cart for transportation from the Airport Administration Building to the Sebastian Municipal Golf Course Clubhouse. This cart is not to be used for golfing purposes. Obtain a regular golf cart at the Clubhouse.

 To secure a courtesy car or golf cart in advance, call Scott Baker, Airport Manager, at 772-228-7013 or 772-633-0897 or e-mail at rbaker@cityofsebastian.org. You will be required to have a valid driver’s license, proof of insurance, and execute a “hold harmless” agreement.

AIRPORT VIEWING PARK

The Sebastian Municipal Airport is located a viewing park in front of the Airport Administration Building on the front right as you drive in. Children's play equipment and a picnic table are included in the fenced area adjacent to the airplane ramp area. There is an excellent view of the skydiving operations across the field, especially on weekends. All are welcome to use this part of the Sebastian park system.
